Suitable for every campsite

Whether you have a small campsite with 10 pitches or a large one with several hundred pitches, Wattcy can help you manage your electricity supply.
this is how wattcy works

Earn back electricity consumption and increase guest satisfaction

The system behind Wattcy consists of two parts: a hardware component and a software component.
Control electricity consumption
An overview per campsite pitch with current and historical electricity usage.
Save up to 60% on electricity costs
In case of overload, you can automatically 'switch off' campsite pitches.
Higher guest satisfaction
An overview of the total energy consumption on your campsite or park.

You’re in Control

Below are the three most commonly used strategies among business owners in the recreation industry.
scenario

Bill guests for actual consumption

You measure the exact electricity consumption per campsite pitch. You bill guests for the actual number of kilowatt-hours (kWh) used.
Some business owners charge guests for their total electricity consumption. Others choose a (free) basic electricity package, such as 4 kWh per day. If the guest exceeds this usage level, they pay for the extra kWh used. You make these costs transparent through a detailed consumption report.
The big difference from a fixed electricity rate per campsite pitch: guests pay purely for their own consumption. Transparent and fair!
Scenario

Switching based on amperage

Your guests decide how much electricity they want to have available. They pay a fixed amount for it.
Your guests make the choice themselves: how much electricity do they want available? They indicate this when making their reservation. They choose from the options you offer as an entrepreneur. Commonly chosen amperage limits: 6 amps (max 1.38 kWh usage), 10 amps (max 2.30 kWh usage), and 16 amps (max 3.68 kWh usage). Of course, as a business owner, you can set any desired amperage via Wattcy.
If the guest exceeds the maximum electricity capacity, Wattcy switches off the power supply for a certain period. You determine this time yourself. Optionally, after a certain number of exceedances, a longer switch-off follows. This encourages the guest to choose a more suitable electricity capacity.
scenario

Monitoring and regulating

Ideal for entrepreneurs who do not want to impose limits on their guests but do want to reduce their total electricity consumption.
Via the Wattcy dashboard, you can see your guests' electricity consumption at a glance. For example, with one click, you can discover which guests are charging their electric cars at night, leaving the heater on, or exhibiting other abnormal (undesirable) behavior.
With Wattcy, you not only gain insight but can also take targeted action. For example, by including a basic electricity capacity in your accommodation rate. Optionally, you can reduce the available electricity capacity at night. This way, you build in a consumption ceiling.
For example: between 11:00 PM and 7:00 AM, the maximum electricity capacity is 6 amps, enough for lighting and charging mobile phones, but too little for a heater or charging electric cars.
